A Gift For My Deck

Update: I have a few of these bags available for sale at Art Fire here! Adopt one of your own!

I have just finished crocheting a bag for my PDR deck, and I'm beyond thrilled with how it turned out! First of all, it had to be purple, so I would want to touch it every day.

Secondly, buttons and corded ties were somehow not girly enough for this particular bag, so I had the idea to use ribbon for the tie. It stays put horizontally due to the way I weaved it in.

Next, I wanted it to be multi-functional, since this is a deck I intend to use every day for a year.

So I made the flap long enough to lay out five cards, so it also serves as a spread cloth.

I'm pleased as punch with the results!

I feel like my deck affair has properly begun, with the giving of gifts!

How cool! I love this.

I love the blog, too. I like how it's similar to the look of your other blog but not exactly.

Your deck has a cozy home!

That is by far one of the coolest, homiest tarot bag I have ever seen. I love how you have extened it to allow for room for a reading and the way it wraps around to tie up as well.

I love your deck choice too. I like the colors nd it just seems to have a smoothe feel to it. I will be getting a copy before too long!

Onyx.

What a stunning crochet bag! I planned on making a similar one that I could fold out for a 3 card spread, but I didn't this week (even though I was off from work). I'll make it a project for one of the train rides home ;).

And purple makes it even better.

Cheers, Nicole

Very cool. I can't wait to see what color combos and future designs of your tarot bag you come up with.

I love this bag! And very clever working it into a spread cloth as well! It's a good thing my ToD isn't next to me right now, there would no doubt be some jealous pouting!

Wow, thanks everyone! As soon as I can get some more materials together, I intend on making some more bags and putting them up for adoption! Stay tuned! :)

Kiki, you've inspired me! I'm taking a break from crocheting an afghan to create a home for my PDR deck! What a wonderful idea.

Hugs,

I just wanted to stop by to say thank you for this terrific deck bag idea! I've adapted your idea to a knitting pattern that I can use. The deck you are using for your PDR is beautiful, by the way. Good luck!
